How To Activate License Key in EMC Isilon OneFS 7

Today we will see, how to add license in EMC Isilon OneFS 7.  We will be doing it from command line, as well as from Graphical User Interface. We be adding SmartQuotas and InsightIQ Software module.
To activate a licensed OneFS module, you must obtain a license key and then enter the key through either the OneFS web administration interface or the command-line interface. To obtain a module license, contact your EMC Isilon Storage Division sales representative.

Adding of license in Command Line is as below.

login as: root
Using keyboard-interactive authentication.

To see the Overall license status in Command line execute the shown command.

Above command output will show information on Module Name, License Status, Configuration Status and Expiration Date.

To activate the license execute the shown command this. At the end type the alphanumeric License Key.

EMC Software License Agreement

IMPORTANT <E2><80><93> PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

This EMC Software License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement
between EMC Corporation, with a principal office at 176 South Street, Hopkinton,
MA 01748 USA ("EMC") and you and the organization on whose behalf you are
accessing this Agreement (the "Customer") and governs Customer<E2><80><99>s access to,
downloading of, and use of any and all components, associated media, printed
materials, documentation, and programming accessed via the EMC software (the
"Software").
I have read and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the EULA. I
represent that I am authorized to legally bind the entity licensing this
software. (yes/no) yes
SmartQuotas has been successfully activated.

At the end type "Yes" to agree Terms and conditition.
With the above license Key, SmartQuotas Module has been successfully activated.
To see overall status of the license execute the command shown below.

Now an Evaluation License, has been activated for SmartQuotas Module. Under Expiration Date, the expiry date of the license will be visible.

Now we will be Adding, another license, from Graphical User Interface
Login in to Graphical User Interface with "root" Credential and Follow the steps as shown.


"Click Help", at right UpMost corner of the GUI, and then click on, "About This Cluster".

Once The next Page appears In the Licensed Modules section, click Activate license as shown.

The License List page appears, displaying software module information. In this page we can see, Only Smart Quotas and SyncIQ Modules, are in activated State.We will be adding one more License key, for Insight IQ Module. In the License key field, type the license key for the module that you want to enable.

Read the end user license agreement, click I have read and agree …, and then click
Submit.

The License List page appears, displaying an updated List of Activated List of Software module. In this case InsightIQ Software has been activated.
